Cleaning day: turning chaos into calm

Raven and the kids headed out a little before 11 a.m., and Heron left for his girlfriend’s around 11:30.
After that, Badger and I grabbed some breakfast and got moving on the cleaning.
She took the laundry room, where the cats had made a real mess after being cooped up since early Friday.
I can’t blame them, but the cats have to stay locked in the laundry room on the weekends.
It’s just better for them.

We spent most of the day cleaning, and the bathroom turned out to be the biggest job.
With nine people sharing one bathroom, it doesn’t take long for things to get dirty.
The living room had crumbs and popcorn to sweep up, so that took a while too.
After that, I moved on to my bedroom, where I keep anything that needs to stay out of the kids’ reach.
Once Sunday comes, I have to put everything back again.

Cowboy got home from morning church, took one look at the cleaning we were in the middle of, and headed over to his sister’s for a while.

I really can’t say much else about the day.
It was busy.
Now that we're back in the routine of weekend visits, Sunday becomes our full-on deep cleaning day.

Cowboy got back in time for evening service, then came home, ate supper, and settled in for TV.
Badger headed to her room and I headed to mine.
Nothing very interesting.
We’ll take this as a week of rest, or at least I hope it works out that way.

You and Badger work well as a team. I hope you have a quiet week, time to catch your breath before all the fun starts up again.

Sandra: Thank you.
Badger and I work pretty well together, although sometimes we’re like oil and water.
This will be a quiet week, just a bit busier than usual since we’re having internet installed through a new company. They said it takes about four hours to do.
I hope you have a good week too.
