Winter: the season of endless chills and Netflix binges

Cowboy didn’t get in bed until 5 a.m. because something broke at work.
That meant I only catnapped through the night.
I don’t sleep well when he isn’t home.

These days don’t leave me with much to write about.
The end of January is hitting us with temperatures northerners would laugh at, but we’re not used to in the South.
There’s even talk of snow coming in again this weekend.

We stay in with our TV and our tablets and our computer and mostly hibernate.
Of course, Cowboy, Heron, and Peacock work, but Badger and I hibernate.

I can’t even tell you about the birds fighting at my window feeders.
The cold air was blowing in so badly one night last week that Badger grabbed every blanket she could find and covered the windows.
It’s much warmer in the living room now, though I can still feel some cold air coming up from the floor.

There’s really nothing going on.
Mostly TV on repeat.

Tomorrow is dentist day, and we’re hoping they get Badger in and out quick so we can grab groceries.
I’m hoping they take this new insurance.
The insurance says they’re in network, but the dentist said she’s never even heard of it.
Why on earth is our insurance out of Texas?
I know that’s where the headquarters is, but still, you’d think they could run it through Tennessee.

Friday the exterminator comes, and then we start getting the house ready for the grandkids.

Well, there you have it.
A long, rambly post that doesn’t really make sense.
