Our morning started at 5 a.m.
I keep thinking it’d help if Raven took the kids into the living room when they wake up.
They wouldn’t be any quieter, but at least they wouldn’t be right outside our doors.
I finally went to the living room at 8, but from 5 until then it was little feet on the hardwood and the usual “he hit me” “no I didn’t” back‑and‑forth on repeat.
We got to escape for a while.
We had to take the Comcast modem and turn it in.
Traffic wasn’t too terrible today, and the place was surprisingly easy to find.
Parking, though, was a nightmare.
They moved into a space they share with a nail salon and a restaurant, and it’s a tiny lot.
Cowboy drove around twice and couldn’t find a place to park, so he w ent to the next lot over to Chick-fil-A but decided that maybe he shouldn’t park there.
There were tons of signs saying tow-away zone if you weren’t a customer.
Not to mention Badger and I would’ve had to walk up the sidewalk to Comcast.
Luckily, two more drives around the building and someone finally pulled out.
It took less than ten minutes for me to turn the modem in.
Maybe they’ll stop hounding me about it.
I’m reasonably sure they said I had 30 days to turn it in, and it’s been nowhere near that.
Then we went to the Goodwill in Karns or Powell.
I’m really not sure where we were.
It was definitely a Goodwill, though.
They had nothing.
That’s something I’ve noticed about every Goodwill we’ve been in lately.
They really don’t have much of anything anymore.
Our final stop was Target at East Town.
Badger didn’t find what she wanted, but I did remember to get the coffee I forgot yesterday.
We made it home at 12:30, and Raven and the kids were already out.
Badger rinsed the breakfast dishes in the sink.
Cowboy grabbed a quick snack and went out to gather eggs and feed the chickens.
Badger headed back to her room, and I went back to mine.
Raven and the kids got back just before 3 p.m.
After that, I’m not sure what all went on.
I had my book and my fan going.
It’s so loud you couldn’t hear if Gabriel blew his trumpet.
After almost three years of this routine, Badger and I have our own way of staying out of the way.
Badger keeps a mini fridge in her room with her lunch meat and yogurt.
We both keep dry cereal and breakfast bars in our rooms.
I’ve got tuna and crackers.
We’ve both got bottled tea and juice.
Other than going to the bathroom, we don’t have to leave our rooms from Friday to Sunday.
It’s not the most normal setup, but it’s how we keep things calm for ourselves.
The next time I came out, Raven and the kids were in his bedroom.
Cowboy was happy watching his TV show.
I’m not sure what all was going on, but he didn’t seem bothered.
I’m getting off of here.
I’m on my tablet, and I’ll clean this up tomorrow.
I have a strange show on.
I’m pretty sure I’ve watched it before, but that’s ok.
I finally finished the vampire book, and the library doesn’t really have anything I want to read.
